Gaming Follow Friday - EA Sports

So we've not been as prudent with these as normal but so what? We can still sense when it's a Friday, partly because of the news and mainly due to the little calender in the bottom right of the screen, and we know there are still out there in need of more Twitter glory in their life! Before now we've tracked down Twitter's tip top video game composers, a gaggle of people involved in creating The Darkness 2 and a selection of odd character actors masquerading as Namco Bandai property. This week? EA Sports chaps and chapettes...

EA Sports is a massive brand, a huge brand even, but for most the year its output of Fifa the latest and Madden the newest are never high on 'proper' gamers lists. Oh I'm going to get it in the neck for that one...

Anyway! Next week is different as next week sees the SSX series thrown back into the gaming limelight after a beguiling and completely unnecessary hiatus, complete with added squirrel suits and more shades of blue than an underwater bluebell exhibition presented by the Blue Man Group. Elsewhere Fifa Street is nearing release. As a slightly less obnoxious football game for the less serious fan the Fifa Street concept is always one that has quietly kept the series on some often uninterested radars. It's an almost NBA Jam-ish alternative to the 'proper' ball kicking sport.

Also listed here are gamechangers. There are people that EA have crowned kings of the community through their efforts to promote the playing of EA games, and being a gamechanger gives you VIP status. It's an example of a developer giving back to its community that people rarely pay attention to, and a delightful thing to know about.
