A ruthless Activision last night announced it was closing down its music division and cancelling Guitar Hero and DJ Hero for 2011, axing True Crime: Hong Kong and pulling the plug on the Tony Hawk franchise's ever more painful decline.
A statement from the firm said: "These decisions are based on the desire to focus on the greatest opportunities that the company currently has to create the world’s best interactive entertainment experiences.” In a busy night Activision also confirmed Call of Duty Online but failed to mention Diablo 3, leading to speculation that the game will slip to 2012.
