Well it’s time to find out as we present to you the Made2Game Best of 2010 Awards.
Be warned there will certainly be some controversial decision below, however these are our choices, from next year we will be handing over the voting rights to you. For now though, check our our best and the rest of 2010.
Made2Game Best of 2010 Awards
Most Innovative Game 2010
Heavy Rain - Innovation is this game's middle name, with a unique twist on the story, a new type of control system and a very unusual experience all round.
Best Graphics of 2010
God of War 3 - Spartan came back with a bang in what was surely the best looking game of 2010, ripping God's heads off has never looked quite as gory as this.
Best Story of 2010
Heavy Rain – A unique title from David Cage’s studio which is unlike any other game released this year. This one is well worth a look if you have yet to sample its delights.
Multiplayer Game of the Year
Call of Duty Black Ops - There have been a few challengers to Call of Duties crown this year, however Activision’s series still stands head and shoulders above all others.
FPS of the Year
Call of Duty: Black Ops – A fantastic shooter and despite many people suggesting it would fail following the Activision/Infinity Ward controversy, this title still managed to innovate and is already the best selling game of the year, and in fact one of the best selling games ever.
RPG of the Year
Darksiders - Despite some stiff competition from the fantastic Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3, Darksiders with its unique are style and fantastic gameplay is out pick of the bunch.
Sports Game of the Year
FIFA 11 - Still the best sports game around, thanks to its realistic take on the best game in the World.
Racing Game of the Year
Gran Turismo 5 - We have waited five years for this one, and to be honest where quite torn between this and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for Racer of the year, however the sheer quality of GT5 shone through in the end.
Motion Controlled Game of the Year
Sports Champions - We have banged our head off walls trying to decide this category, what with games such as Dance Central, Kinect Sports and of course the countless Wii titles, however for sheer enjoyment, Sports Champions was our pick of the bunch, thanks mainly to its addictive Table Tennis.
Network Game of the Year
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX - This is quite possibly the most addictive game of the year. This reinvention of Pac-Man is the best yet.
PS3 Game of the Year
Heavy Rain
Xbox 360 Game of the Year
Alan Wake
Wii Game of the Year
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Handheld Game of the Year
God of War: Ghost of Sparta
Most Disappointing Game of 2010
Medal of Honor - We aren't saying that Medal of Honor is a bad game, its just that after all the promises, hype and build up, we were quite disappointed that the game was littered with bugs and was nowhere near the quality of the Call of Duty series.
Biggest Surprise of 2010
Vanquish - A fantastic action packed title, here's hoping for a sequel.
Best Motion Device 2010
PlayStation Move - Despite all the hype that surrounds Kinect, it's quite apparent to us that when it comes to the core game Move is the motion device to have. There may not be many titles however the future is looking bright for Sony's device with games such as Sorcery, Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4 on the horizon.
Game of The Year
Darksiders – A controversial choice on our behalf perhaps, however we feel this title is well worthy of our Game of the Year award. Not only is it action packed and wonderfully presented, but it’s also got one of the best ending sequences we have ever seen.
Many people may not agree with this choice, however we couldn’t think of a title more deserving.
Honorable Mentions – Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, Mass Effect 2, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3, Halo Reach.
