Xbox 360 top selling UK console for 2010

UKIE has revealed the sales figures for console hardware in 2010 and it makes for some pretty impressive reading. Overall the UK video games and interactive entertainment industry generated £2.875 billion in revenue during 2010, although that's actually down from £3.311 billion the previous year. Xbox 360 and PS3 perhaps unsurprisingly brought in the most cash from hardware and software sales, although it was the Xbox 360 which managed the most sales overall. Total sales of console games came in at £1.45 billion, with Xbox 360 games generating £538 million and PS3 titles £414 million, which equates to 18.2 million Xbox 360 games versus 13.8 million PS3 titles sold. The total revenue for console hardware sales was £800 million, with Xbox 360 generating £232 million and followed by PS3 with £229 million, which doesn't seem to big a gap.
