30% of gamers don't pay

It's hard to know just how much research you should believe, however if the latest one is to be believed that a third of all gamers don’t pay for the games they’re playing. The research comes from video game tracking firm Newzoo, who have revealed that approximately 30% of people are not paying for their pleasure. What is more interesting about this is that it covers all formats, whether you get your gaming thrills from Xbox 360, PS3, PC or whatever other format grabs your fancy. So what are these people doing then? According to the firm, instead of splashing out they are playing the free equivalents, be this on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 as demos or Facebook. As well as this people are playing games together more thanks to the excellent multiplayer modes which are starting to re-appear recently. Looks like people are tightening their pockets then, watch out game publishers.
