Criterion reveal some Hot Pursuit info

Criterion has revealed some new information regarding Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Speaking via Twitter, the developer showed some of the things we can expect to see in it's next game, including the fact it's an open world game, there is no customisation and there is no cockpit view in the vehicles. Check out the hightlights of the tweets below.
  • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is definitely an open world game, but far better than Paradise City.
  • There is no tuning and upgrade options for the vehicles.
  • Similarly, there is no customization of the vinyls and decals will be.
  • Police cars can be wrecked just like all other cars.
  • Ferrari will not be there as a brand, cars are almost only exotic models.
  • The game has two campaigns, one for police and one for the hunted. Both are about the same length.
  • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit supports custom soundtrack.
  • The chase takes place all over the map, not on predetermined routes.
  • There is no cockpit view in the vehicles.
  • There will be no split-screen mode, only the online multiplayer.
Finally Criterion added it's only a small team, so at this time are not creating another game, despite rumours which suggest otherwise. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will be released on November 16 along with an exclusive Porsche. Thanks, PlayFront.
