Duke Nukem Forever is coming... no, seriously, we mean it

Duke Nukem Forever, a game which was announced back in 1997, and has been somewhat of a running joke ever since, is finally making it's way into reality, Gearbox has confirmed at PAX Despite rumours of a PAX announcement for the game being thrown around recently, fans of Duke Nukem will still be shocked to hear that the game is actually in development. No one really expected it after everything the title has been through, did they? 3D Realms, the developer working on the game at the time, went bust in 2009 after experiencing a lack of funding. After the studio closed Take-Two kept the rights to the game. Rumours started at E3 that borderlands developer, gearbox, was now in charge of the project, although no one could be entirely sure what to believe, until now. Gearbox Boss, Randy Pitchford has also said the game's development is complete, and it is being "polished" for a 2011 release We'll bring you more info on the game as we get it. Thanks, VG247
