Activision unconcerned by Medal Of Honor

Activision, publisher of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black ops, says it's not concerned by the competition that is the mad rush of release titles so close to Christmas. We have seen it every year, the run up to Christmas sees so many shiny new games being released just in time to be picked up as the "perfect gift" A slight difference to 2010 is the blockbuster titles being released. Activision who are the publishers of Call of Duty: Black Ops states that they are unconcerned by the competition posed by EA's upcoming title Medal of Honor. "We respect the competition and we don’t see the competition only coming from Medal of Honor" said Michael Sportouch, Europe's call of Duty general manager.

Upon being asked if Medal Of Honor would be a barrier Michael Sportouch had this to say.

"We have no concern [about Medal of Honor], we are ambitious and confident, but obviously we are looking at the competition and the market globally - and not only Medal of Honor."

It appears he may be referring to Bungie's Halo Reach when he mentioned and "not only Medal of Honor."

Ultimately we will see by the sale figures on release if Medal Of Honor was a threat to Black Ops.

Call Of Duty Black Ops is released the 9TH November on all platforms and Medal Of Honor is released October 15.
