Go back to Hell with the Doom 3 "BFG Edition" trailer

This year’s QuakeCon has had its fair share of excitement, but one of the more interesting reveals was the Doom 3 “BFG Edition”. Essentially an update of Doom 3, the BFG Edition also features the Resurrection of Evil expansion pack and a new add-on called The Lost Mission. It will also ship with Doom and Doom II.

With little news trickling through concerning the upcoming Doom 4, this collection at least gives us hope that id Software haven’t forgotten about one of their most beloved franchises – and last year’s apocalyptic shooter Rage showed us exactly what the new id Tech 5 engine can do and we’re pumped to see such gorgeous visuals applied to the dark, foreboding corridors of the Doom universe.

In the meantime, we’ll make do with the Doom 3 BFG Edition, due for release on October 16th.
