M2G Review: Plants vs. Zombies

Having been addicted to Plants vs. Zombies on the iPad, when I heard it was coming to Xbox Live Arcade, I have to admit I was pretty happy. A few concerns did raise their ugly head, such as how well this game would work without the benefit of a touch screen, however as soon as I loaded the game up any concerns soon disappeared.

M2G Review: Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

The game really should carry a health warning as there have been many times that I would have happily become one of those many pixelated dead bodies that scatter the game. After the first game that set-up the titular duo as gaming’s most dislikeable characters, something that is the same in the sequel, this game follows the same theme. You run and gun through the city streets, this time in Shanghai, killing pretty much anything that moves.

M2G Review: Valkyria Chronicles II

When I reviewed Valkyria Chronicles in 2008 for PS3, I saw a classic, unique game which to me was one of the best of the year. Unfortunately for others, they didn’t see it that way and missed out on this brilliant title.

M2G Review: Mafia II

2K’s highly anticipated ‘Mafia II’ has ended its first week on the market  as a number one seller in the UK.

The demo, which launched a month ago, disappointed almost everyone and since its retail release, both critics and consumers have had very mixed opinions about the game.

It’s such a pity because, truth be told, with six years of development, it’s unlikely 2K Czech’s game will end up being profitable and the worst thing that can happen to a major title is being incapable of fulfilling high expectations.

So let’s talk why ‘Mafia II’ could’ve, should’ve been better.

M2G Review: Madden NFL 2011

American Football may not be the most popular sport in the UK, in fact I can’t say I even understand the rules, but then that’s the beauty of EA’s Madden, because you can learn as you play.

M2G Review: International Cricket 2010

After last year’s Cricket entry, Codies has brought the franchise back but this time under a new name. But that isn’t the only upgrading that has happened since the last title attempted to bowl us over, it seems that change is the order of business here and change there has been.

Joe Danger Review

Joe Danger is the first game from new British company, Hello Games. It is a game of two halves; on one side we have a straightforward stunt racing game giving you the reigns of a stunt driver called Joe Danger. The other side is a level-editor, which is described as ‘easy-to-use’ (like most other games nowadays) but this one actually works in a very easy and straightforward way.

Death Track: Resurrection review

Death Track Resurrection is a downloadable racing game, created by Sky Fallen Entertainment and published by 505 games, it is however, no ordinary racing game, this is a high speed, high action racing game, with, quite literally, the attachment of guns. The game sees you racing around different world locations whilst shooting down, not only your opponents but the world around you in order to stop the other racers in their tracks, Split/Second style.

M2G Review: Planet MiniGolf

Minigolf has always been a great past time for anyone who just couldn’t play real golf or as a great first date for years, but you have never played mini golf like this. Zen Studios have created a mini golf simulator that gives you some great play over its 140 odd premade courses, but that really isn’t the key to this game. The key is actually the same must play reason behind games like LittleBigPlanet and ModNation Racers. Yes, that’s right we have a golfing sim with some classic build, create and share components included.
